Malika is a passionate outdoor enthusiast and advocate for equity in the great outdoors. As a proud woman of color, she knows firsthand the importance of representation and inclusivity in nature. With a vision to inspire and empower women of color, Malika founded Black Girls Do Hike to create a welcoming space for all to explore, connect, and thrive in the outdoors.

Driven by a deep love for nature and adventure, our founder combines her extensive experience in outdoor activities with a commitment to foster community and support among women of color. She believes that everyone deserves access to the beauty and empowerment that comes from outdoor experiences.

Under her leadership, Black Girls Do Hike has grown into a vibrant community that not only organizes exciting outdoor adventures but also provides resources, mentorship, and training for its members.
